Informed Consent in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology: A Cross- Sectional Study

Objective: This study assessed the opinions and attitudes of dentomaxillofacial (DMF) radiology physicians worldwide about informed consent in terms oral applications. 
 Methods: DMF various countries were invited to this via e-mail. The participants answered their demographic information (gender, age, years experience, title, institution, country), questions consent. Pearson chi-square Fisher’s exact tests used for statistical analysis Results: From 22 countries, 46 male (51.7%) 43 female (48.3%) DMR completed questionnaire. More than half (53.9%) working university hospital, highest number (32.6%) was from European region. Most surveyors (70.8%) stated that is required dental radiology. No statistically significant difference found radiographic methods (intraoral, panoramic/extraoral, cone-beam CT) applied obtaining (p > 0.05). While middle-aged (30 –45 age) thought patients should not be risk radiation causing cancer, experienced (45 age above) given cancer < Conclusion: results showed most they have responsibility getting only one-third inform risks radiation.
